NRW Ministry for Environment and NRW.BANK promote sustainable transformation in the state

For the third time, the NRW Ministry of the Environment and NRW.BANK are presenting the “Umweltwirtschaftspreis.NRW”. Companies from North Rhine-Westphalia are invited to submit their successful approaches towards sustainable transformation. Apply now!

A total of 60,000 euros will be awarded to those three companies that submit the most innovative idea for a more eco-friendly economy. During the application phase from February 26 to April 30, 2024, companies based in NRW can submit their products, services or processes, if they operate in one of the sub-sectors of the environmental economy. For NRW Environmental Minister Oliver Krischer, the green economy with its many small and large companies is one of the most important pillars in making North Rhine-Westphalia the first climate-neutral industrial region in Europe. Furthermore, the Environmental Economy Award.NRW is intended to motivate other companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the transformation, says Eckhard Forst, Chairman of the Managing Board of NRW.BANK.
