Innovative AI voice application services for GAIA-X from NRW
NRW can do AI: Sankt Augustin-based Fraunhofer IAIS among the eleven winning consortia in the GAIA-X funding competition organized by BMWi
AI speech applications are an essential foundation for innovative business solutions, because speech models can perform a variety of tasks: Correcting or translating texts, converting spoken language into text, recognizing moods and opinions, answering questions or conducting dialogs. Under the leadership of the Fraunhofer Institutes for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS and for Integrated Circuits IIS, the project outline “OpenGPT-X: Building a GAIA-X Node for Large AI Language Models and Innovative Language Application Services” has made it to the winners of the GAIA-X funding competition organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economics BMWi. Together with 9 other consortium partners, the Fraunhofer team is thus among the first eleven projects that may now submit a funding application. The Federal Network Agency recently announced the winning consortia. The project once again highlights the AI expertise of leading scientists from NRW, especially in the application field of speech technologies. More about the project and participating partners can be found on the Fraunhofer IAIS website. © Bildquelle: sdecoret – stock.adobe.com
